Well, friends – did you ever think that April 2015 would represent the largest labor protest in world history? I’m sure you didn’t, and neither did I. We’re so extremely happy about what took place in over 200 cities around the country. Connected with the drive to end police murder and perjury – and friends, that’s how quickly change can come about and how unexpectedly as a result of years of organizing at the base, which is the only way things ever change. I couldn’t help but think of the Poor People’s March in 1968 as being the legacy left by Dr. King. He was dead. We were in Washington with a beautiful march in the mud, and they thew us out of Washington with CS gas, which is much worse than ordinary tear gas.
