Well, friends, we had three programs: “The Nicene Creed”; “The Holocaust of Christendom”; and “Reverence and Critique”. I have a summary of those three commentaries, which are available on our website. Chomsky just read this and said it was a “very moving and thoughtful piece.” So I’d like to share it with you. Chomsky himself had just released a piece saying the the US is one of the most fundamentalist countries in the world. One of the most extreme in the world. Chomsky is probably the best known political dissident of our time, and he says, explaining there are few countries in the world where two thirds of the population awaits the second coming, etc. So this piece that I did for the last three programs is a trilogy related to this problem and the holocaust that was part and parcel of Christendom when the church was in power throughout present day Europe.
I want to speak today about the cult of militarism, and we have so many people who have written well on this, Clancy Stigal has written on it talking about barbed wire, canned food and generals who should have been shot at dawn.
